Description of Hyperspeed

Lightspeed and Hyperspeed are without a doubt two of the most underrated space sims of all time designed by celebrated Gunship 2000and F-15 Strike Eagle III designer Andy Hollis.

Although billed as 'adventure/strategy' games, they are actually space sims with some adventure game elements. Still, categorization quibbles can't hide the fact that they are two of the very best-- with fluid animations, cool ships, and great interface.

In all, great space exploration sims that follow in the venerable Elite tradition. Highly recommended.

Rogue does have limitations. When you save a character in Rogue, it stores all the information about your character in a temporary file called 'rogue.sav' and exits the game. When you restore the saved game by typing 'rogue /r' on the command line, Rogue erases your save file in the process of restoring it. Cheat codes, hints and game tips for DOS games. FWIW this is up on the MS-DOS archive site at https://archive.org/details/msdos_Hyperspeed_1991, but is not functional due to copyright protection.

running hyperpeed.bat dosn't work,it still asks questions from the second half of the manual and if you get them wrong it still runs but you can't access the nav screen(n key)so you're stuck.i'm using d-fend by the way

The copy protection asks for words from sections of the manual that are not there. For instance 'Section 7.1.6' - but the manual only goes up to section 4.9.
