2. Go To Deeper Waters
Maximize your earnings by always going to the deepest waters you can afford. You will gain more experience when fishing in deeper waters. Your fishing experience and the number of stars you have will increase the amount of money you earn with each fish. Once in a while, you will encounter a Gold Chest floating in the water. Swipe on it and it will come up on the side of your screen. If you tap on the chest you picked up, you will be given the option to watch an ad. Agree to it so you can open the chest and claim the prize. The prize is usually a number of gems so opening them can help you hire even more members for your crew. Make sure you have internet connection before trying to open the chest because you need to be connected to watch the ad. If you accidentally tapped on the chest and want to dismiss it, just tap outside of the pop-up screen. Do not click on the X on the pop-up because that will make the chest disappear.
5. Take Advantage Of Buoys
Some of your crew members will have the ability to summon buoys on the water. You can drag these buoys around the map in order to put them in the best location. If you see a school of fish coming up, drag the buoy right in its path. Any fish that crosses it will automatically be caught. Use the buoys strategically in order to catch even more fish.
6. Spend Gems Wisely
Gems are the premium currency in Hooked Inc: Fisher Tycoon. You can spend them to hire more crew members or to upgrade the ones you currently have. It is cheaper to just upgrade your existing crew but you will eventually need to hire more if you want to progress far in the game. Find the perfect balance between upgrading and hiring in order to keep improving your income without spending too many gems.
7. Collect More Free Gems
Since gems are crucial to your success in this game, you would want to get as much of it as you can. Luckily, the game can be pretty generous when it comes to giving away free gems. Aside from opening gold chests, you can also earn more by spinning the wheel. You get one free spin per day but you can get more free spins by watching advertisements. One advertisement will give you one spin. Every time you spin without hitting the jackpot, one gem will be added to the pot. It will keep going up until you eventually win a whole lot of gems. 8. Purchase Small Bonuses
If you check out the anchor icon on the lower right corner of the screen, you will see a new menu. 9. Link Your Facebook Account
Hooked Inc: Fisher Tycoon gives you the option to link your Facebook account to the game. Once linked, you will automatically get a 250% boost in earnings. You can also use this to invite your Facebook friends to play the game. Most importantly, you will automatically appear as an additional crew member. You will have a basic rod as a crew member. The only way to upgrade it is to invite your friends to the game. The more friends you convince to play the game, the better your rod will be.
10. Participate In Tournaments
When you are confident enough in your team’s abilities, you can join the tournaments. Your crew will be given a limited amount of time to catch as many fish as possible. The crew with the most number of points at the end of the tournament wins. You can get gems, money, and other boosts if you win in these tournaments so keep trying!
